Endodontics is the part of dentistry concerning pulp of the teeth and tissues at the foundation of a tooth. "Endo" is the Greek word for "inside" and "odont" is Greek for "tooth." Endodontic treatment, or root channel treatment, treats the delicate pulp tissue inside the tooth. An endodontist is a dental specialist who works in saving teeth. Endodontists become experts by finishing at least two years of cutting edge preparing in endodontics following dental school.
